Cheers Mates, making an extraordinary post this week to show to you the remastered version of Mouth from Paradise Lost, originally present in Believe in Nothing album from 2001 one is now back together with the whole album now that has been remastered. Check it out
As you might have notice this blog plays around the progressive word, The main objective is to help on the promotion of metal and trying to change the perspective metal=noise. However, Expect the unexpected. Mainly focussed on progressive metal or rock, but easily going to catch some good stuff to bands with only some progressive elements. And sometimes also going totally out of the progressive genre and of metal. Help you discovering what has been done of value around the world in my opinion.

Paradise Lost - Collection of songs from former(Draconian times to Tragic idol) and new albums(Medusa 2017)
Last week hearing some videos on youtube, I stumbled across lots of videos from Paradise Lost, I always knew Paradise Lost album as well as the next one, In Requiem, but all the other albums I didn't knew so well.
From 1995's Album Draconian Times, Forever Failure I am not so much fan of this harsher style but It fits in this song really well
One of the first songs that made me stay tuned once again to Paradise Lost is Say Just Words from the Album "One Second" from 1997, vocally harsher and more symphonic than the album I posted last week.
From 2001's "Believe in Nothing", I'm showing you Mouth
From 2007's In Requiem the song I hear the most is The Enemy, I think it was the first song I ever knew from them.
Also the songs Last Regret and Faith Divide us Death Unites, from 2009's album Faith Divide us Death Unites, also made me stay a little while around Paradise Lost, despite I had already known of the last song which talks about abuse either physic the most visible one but also the psychological one.
From 2012's "Tragic idol", two songs Are repeatedly playing in my mp3, Honesty in Death and Fear of Impending Hell
Finally I will show you from next September's Album "Medusa" the song The Longest Winter.
Tomorrow is me who has his Birthday but I am the one giving a present to you. Cheers

Paradise Lost - Paradise Lost (2005)
Today I bring you my favourite Paradise Lost album, the one with same name as the band, Paradise Lost from 2005, What I love the most in this album is the melody in it, I would say is the softest album from Paradise Lost, but not the worst because of that, if there is an album with touches of Progressive is this one.
The first song I'm showing you is the first one of the album
Don't Belong, it was one of the songs that I heard for a long time before diving more into it, It starts slow and increases pace in chorus. And the lyrics fit so well in a former time. The musicality in this one is superb
The second song of the album is Close Your Eyes, is not so intense as the first one but is also in my opinion an amazing one more in a constant pace. "All Born the same"
The third song of the album is a masterpiece on it's own, the transitions, the lyrics, everything fits, it's called Grey another more soft song, but if you have a taste similar to mine you will like it.
The 4th song is called RedShift, it didn't interested me for a long time, but with years passing I learned that some musics need time to dive in our soul, and this is one of those.
The 5th song is another one that took me some time, but now I love it, Forever After, the lyrics make such sense now, and it's stronger without being harsh one of my new favourites.
The 6th song, mainly for those not so much into metal but more into rock, Sun Fading has some heaviness without being too noticed, but musically is superbly well done

Behind, we end this post with something heavier, one of the heaviest
ones until here.
Next week I'll post a kind of my personal best of from them, stay tuned.
