Richard Barbieri - Variants.1+2, 3+4 & 5(2019)

Cheers everyone. Hope you are having a good year, we are almost falfway through. I recently started to pay more attention to Richard Barbieri the ever present talent together with Sevten Wilson's solo career or Porcupine Tree. His solo works Variants are coming around, and if the hte first song «New Soul» are that kind of song you put playing and let it sink in or do something with it in the background

The Second one is more the music to be marvelled upon, called «Vibra», brilliantly executed with a mix of sounds that grows within one.

Hope you enjoy Richard Barbieri's work as much as I do.

Cheers and see you soon

Steven Wilson - To The Bone(2017) - New Outstanding Song revealed

I Can't let it pass unnoticed so i'm posting at Wednesday once again... recently Steven Wilson revealed a 4th song from the album and I must say to you, it is a masterpiece, the progressive tone all in it, it made me remember the vibe of Don't hate me which is my favourite Porcupine Tree song, with no more words worth to be said to say how much I enjoy this one, here it is the new revealed song: Refuge

ProgCenter - Storm Corrosion - Storm Corrosion 2012

Greetings my friends from metal, from progressive metal or rock or just music fans in general, welcome
Today I bring you a mix of two wonderful worlds, more properly the genius of Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree and several other projects, and the voice and musical quality of Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth. What arrives from here is what one could expect if we merged Porcupine Tree or some Steven Wilson's solo album sound and we mixed it with Opeth more in doom/progressive sound. What result is a really heavy atmosphere of immense sounds and pleasures.
I live you the song which they made an excellent animated movie to, you can sense what is sang along the music, Drag Ropes

This is my way to introduce the world of Opeth, which will be the next band I will talk about, what kind of progressive metal would I be without mention Opeth? for  this I once again posted something on Wednesday. Saturday the first part of Opeth Post.

Steven Wilson - Insurgentes, The Raven that Refused to Sing, Hand.Cannpt.Erase

This post is to evoke an amazing concert I was lucky to assist from Porcupine Tree mastermind Steven Wilson in September here in Portugal. As a good English artist one of the first concerts ever that started at supposed time, really good
The first song from Steven Wilson work I will share is the amazing Harmony Corine from 2011's album Insurgentes, energy, strength in a single music, simply amazing, when it plays live everyone notices immediately

From The Raven that Refused to Sing from 2013 I have to share both singles with you, such a strong message, don't know if Steven lost someone on his life, but this songs remind how when we tragically lost someone we knew and loved, sometimes is hard to let it go. This two Songs The Raven that Refused to Sing and Drive Home, shows us how in those moments, sometimes the biggest darkness is in ourselves, we forgot to live stuck in guilt, sometimes for something we are not guilty. enjoy

From the last album, I could have shared a lot of songs as all of them are amazing, but I will leave you today with Hand. Cannot. Erase song which is the same name as the album, release in 2015, this year.

The last song, they Have so wonderful songs/musics, check them all out if you don't know porcupine Tree, is Lazarus a strong song which Steven Wilson always dedicates to someone on concerts, this song is From 2005's album Deadwing
