Vanden Plas - Christ 0 (2006) and The Seraphic Clockwork(2010) and Chronicles Of The Immortals: Netherworld II(2015)

Cheers My friends. Today I decided to bring a band I am listening again on this days, contrarily to other bands I don't know their albums through so I will instead post my favourite songs from what I know from them, this is a Big return to Progressive metal posts.

I will show you two songs the first one has a title a lot of people will find it familiar as it has the same name as one of from Pink Floyd hits, "Wish you were here", However this as too little to do  with Pink Floyd apart the progressive thing. I love everything in this song from the vocalists voice to the way the music evolves from start to beginning. A Special Thumbs up to the album cover Which I think is amazing.

The other song is called "Holes In The Sky" is less melodic than the other one but the progressive style remains I think more to what I would expect in some of the Threshold songs with Damian Wilson. I really enjoy it.

The last one is one of my recently found songs from them, called "Stone Roses Edge", Seems more closer to the first song with more electric elements with some of Speed and power metal elements as well

Altan Urag - Made in Altan Urag(2006)

Greetings, There will probably be second Altan Urag post in the future, I found this amazing group and amazes me how so few people know about them, sadly i'm in the process of knowing them, but I still want to share them with you, they are called Altan Urag and are from Mongolia, typical sounds from there you might find here in their sound. Enjoy the song Requiem. Has a brilliant post touch on it.

The first part in mongol tranlsates by:
- grandpa i want to tell you a story.
- Oh what kind of story my son?
- A story with no happy ending.
- I am currently in that nightmarish story

A Naifa - Canções Subterrâneas(2004) and 3 Minutos Antes da Maré Encher(2008)

With the last week post I noticed I never Shared A Naifa with you, and being me form Portugal Is a big mistake of my own. So today and next week we will correct it. A Naifa is a project initiated in 2004 by a true Mastermind João Aguardela from Sitiados.Along João(in Bass) we had Luis Varatojo from Despe & Siga na guitarra e guitarra portuguesa, Mitó Mendes na voz e Vasco Vaz na bateria.

The first song I ever heard from them and the first I will share with you is from thier first album Canções Subterrâneas. Is called Musica, translates to Music.
I love the short Portuguese Guitar solo. The main Chorus
Flor a florir desmedida assim que te vi a rasgar a vida
Translates to
Flower blooming with no limits as long as I saw you tearing down life.
The second song to share with you is Monotone, from 3 Minutos Antes da Maré Encher Album
For me this song is about the dormancy of our lives, only warmed by that song that passed in the radio once before and is still living in our heart and mind.
Here the chorus,
E esqueces essa canção que já não passa na rádio
Mas que vive secretamente dentro de ti.
Fechas a porta à chave com duas voltas e sais.
Translate to

And you forget that song which no longer is on the radio
But  that is secretly  living inside you
You close the door with two turns of the key and you leave.

Poets of the Fall - Carnival of Rust (2006)

Today I bring you the second album form Poets of The Fall, Carnival of Rust

All the album is amazing, only the Drums changed for personal reasons from their first to this album.
It starts it great power with the song, Fire

The next song I'm showing you is the third of the album and homonymous song of the album, Carnival of Rust, amazing videoclip where you can see the passage of the drums in the middle

The third song I'm showing you is the fourth one of the album, another official video, and it's called Locking up The sun, more of a poppish sound but that doesn't make it sound bad, just different

The 6th one, King of Fools is an lyrically heavy song, really harsh and with the music following, one of those heavy feeling songs

The next one, the 7th is Roses, more soft that the last one does the optimal passage

Follows the 9th song of the album, one of my personal favourites if you have been paying attention, I enjoy emotional songs, and this has all I would need in a song, it's called All the way 4 you.

The last song I'm showing you is the 11th one, and it's called Maybe Tomorrow is a Better Day,it's kind of ironic song, It's a perfect song to end this post.

Next week we will have the 2008's album, see you there

Katatonia - The Great Cold Distance (2006)

Today I bring you my favourite Album from Katatonia, as you may have noticed I'm a huge fan of dark sounds, and this album brings just that
The first one of the album, Leaders, has a dark feeling we get over leader who are worthless of our trust
The Second one is Called Deliberation, Here we feel the life circles of love and hatred.
The third one is Soil's Song, here yet feels like fighting the darkness inside, release the glow of our innerselves
And it ends with the darkest song for me, and there is something It seems to be about betrayal, but it can also be someone who died, the part "Are you strong when you're with him" this him can be a god or major entity

Pyramaze 1st Part - The Legend of the Bone Carver

Hello there. Today I will talk about one of my favourite bands that suffered a lot of metamorfosis along their way
First Saying that I know there is another album called Melancholy Beast, which is Pyramaze 1st album, but as I don't hear it that much, I'm starting with their second album but feel free to listen their first album.
In this album "The Legend of The Bone Carver", there are some progressive metal elements, but not too many. I could call it more near a Power Progressive band maybe, as you may want to call
In this album we hear the amazing power metal voice of Lance King, and for me the biggest point in this band is the keyboarder, Jonah Weingarten
Jonah Weingarten
Lance King

This whole album is a concept album, it talks about a mistery and mythological creature known as Bone Carver. And here the voice of Lance king fits amazingly as the hero on the story, and the keys of Jonah makes we who listen the album, enter in this amazing story with more ease.
All the band is amazing, but I decided to focus on Lance and Jonah for being the reason I stopped at Pyramaze

The first song I will share with you is the 6th music and my favourite one, She Who Summoned Me, in this song the hero in deep doubt on himself is asked by a woman to help her. For some reason at the time I first heard this song there was a girl who messed with my head to, and this part
"Why am I here, Where do I go
Has someone called me
Then please tell me so
And as I leave the shadows
I see her sitting there
Night turns into day
She's looking my way"
This part fits what I felt at the moment, she changed me, she doesn't know how much as I never allowed her to know. so here it is, She who Summoned Me. In the song The Bone carver gains inner strength for what's to come

The 7th song is called The Bone Carver, in this song our hero finally understands where is his power, what to do to be victorious, a moment of change, as he says at the end
Let my Power grow
 Here it is Bone Carver
