Vanden Plas - Christ 0 (2006) and The Seraphic Clockwork(2010) and Chronicles Of The Immortals: Netherworld II(2015)

Cheers My friends. Today I decided to bring a band I am listening again on this days, contrarily to other bands I don't know their albums through so I will instead post my favourite songs from what I know from them, this is a Big return to Progressive metal posts.

I will show you two songs the first one has a title a lot of people will find it familiar as it has the same name as one of from Pink Floyd hits, "Wish you were here", However this as too little to do  with Pink Floyd apart the progressive thing. I love everything in this song from the vocalists voice to the way the music evolves from start to beginning. A Special Thumbs up to the album cover Which I think is amazing.

The other song is called "Holes In The Sky" is less melodic than the other one but the progressive style remains I think more to what I would expect in some of the Threshold songs with Damian Wilson. I really enjoy it.

The last one is one of my recently found songs from them, called "Stone Roses Edge", Seems more closer to the first song with more electric elements with some of Speed and power metal elements as well

Therion - Sitra Ahra(2010)

After Gothic kaballah a big part of the band left, basically only some resident singers and Christofer Johnsson remain. This album was never claimed by the critics cause let's be honest, is way less interesting than their other works.
You will see that on the number of musics I am going to share.
Let's start with the first song of the album the title track, here we still have the remanence of old Therion, the lyrical voice the sound almost prophetic, the video could be better though. This song misled several people who thought this would still be the way Therion would go.

The next song I am showing you is the third one of the album, Unguentum Sabbati, no their most interesting songs but still good to hear, with Snowy Shaw being important here as well as Lori Lewis amazing voice.

The next song is one of the best of the album, Land of Canaan once again tastes like old Therion, is one of the longest ones and is with me in my mp3 since the release of the album almost. Instrumentally is maybe the best one in this album the arabic/middle eastern sounds are so good in here.

The next song is the fifth one of the album Hellequin, not much to say on this one but I like to show you songs with different nuances.

Follows the song 2012: Return of the Feathered Serpent, Therion always exploit the Mayan prophecies, this song is about the 2012 one.

After we have the 3rd part of Kali Yuga which I started in Sirius B. album, this part is different but is maybe the only music with some other level of mysticism in it.

The last song I am sharing with you is Children of the Stone: After the Inquisition, the thing I want to focus here is the choir in the chorus it is amazing for me.

I still manage to share several songs of this album I don't dislike Thommas Vikstrom voice but i prefer Mats one, only one still to go now from Therion.

Edenbridge - Solitaire (2010)

The album is amazing a touch of pagan with folk here and there, and mainly power song. higher is amazing, you can feel the power of Sabine Edelsbacher's voice and the energy in all the song

the second song I will share with you is the homonymous song of the album, solitaire, this one more emotive than the last one. Hope you like them as much as me

Poets of the Fall - Twilight Theater(2010), Alchemy vol.1(2011) and Temple of Thought (2012)

From Twilight Theater I will show you three songs, all really emotional, probably the album with more emotion they have
The first song of the album "Dreaming Wide Awake" deals with the Death of a loved one and how life is joking with us

The second song of the album is "War", another song from Alan Wake game, about how our partner in war sometimes is nearer then what we think

The Last song I'm showing you from this album is the 5th one, called "Given and Denied"

From Alchemy Vol. 1  I want to show you "No End no Beginning", the lyrics are strong, I really loved this song on this best of.

From Temple of Thought, I want to show you the official track "Cradled in love". I think the first time we hear the Falsetto of the vocals Marko Saaresto

Next week the last album before the Clearview I already posted about, there we will go to 2014, see you there.

Poets of The fall - Revolution roulette (2008) and Alan Wake Soundtrack song (2010)

The album from 2008 has less so impacting songs, but we still have some to point up
We start today's journey with "Ultimate Fling", probably one of their earlier faster songs.

Follows the official video from this album Diamonds for Tears, more experimentalist, less direct, but with it they opened new sonorities.

the songs which ends this album is just marvellous, it's Called Where we draw the line, it's effectively and amazing song

As this album has few songs noteworthy, I will share with you the song that was on Alan Wake, a different video game, when you end it you will understand everything, until there you will be a bit lost. The Song is called "The Poet and the Muse", it's how a writer finds it's inspiration for the rapture of his loved one.

Next week a medley of their works of 2010,2011 and 2012

Pain of Salvation - Road Salt One (2010)

Hello metal fellas, sorry for not having post nothing in two weeks, but the heat was too much to be around the time enough to do something of interest. Today I bring you one album of a band which auto-proclaims itself as Regressive Metal, for incorporating older sounds in their progressive melodies. I first stumble upon this band because of the voice of Daniel Gildenlöw. This is the second Album I ever heard of them, and it is really worth it. I leave you with the first track of the album No Way

Aesthesys - Crossing The Shoreline (2010)

Greetings musical dependents like myself.
Today I bring you something I just found some days ago. They are called Aesthesys and come from Russia, I don't know many bands from Russia by the way. But I'm glad I found them. Their sound makes me resemble a bit what Mono did in "The Hymn of The Immortal Wind" and being this Mono's album from 2009 and this Aesthesys album from 2011 I believe might have been some influence from the Japanese band on this Russian band.

The song I will share with you makes me resemble at certain points the song "Follow the Map" from Mono
The song is called Sailing to Byzantium, enjoy:

Orphaned Land 3rd part - The Neverending Way of Orwarrior 2010

The 3rd part is from their 2010 album. The Never Ending Way of ORWarriOR
This album also as totally other type of sound in it, from Rich lyrics, to amazing sound and songs which Live gain another life

Starting with my second Favourite Song from Orphaned Land of all time, Sapari, this song is so storng even live that almost nobody wastes time recording, just to be able to apreciate it, this song has the great presence of Shlomit Levi, brilliant female vocals
This part of the lyrics are for me some of the richest ones I ever seen
It soared from the ark the dove within me
It sings forever, it flies free
I call to thee my torch in darkness, thou art born
Ornaments of gold shine so bright
You are the way, you are the light
I dwell in this my shelter and thy birth do I foresee
The second one I will share is Olat Ha'tamid, another non English song, one of those to simply relax and enjoy, here special note to the rhythmic change, how almost a tribal sound becomes so festive.

At last bot not least, In Thy Neverending way, the studio version is strong but the live version is amazing, so Will share both with you. They ask the audience to sing with them on this one and how amazing it becomes. While the studio version is more of a typical song, live is becomes solemn.
Here a part of the live Version
